The Kalgoorlie Nickel Project – Goongarrie Hub is an asset of Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd., which will ultimately be a 50:50 Joint Venture between Ardea Resources Ltd and the Japanese Consortium, comprising Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd and Mitsubishi Corporation. The KNP – Goongarrie Hub is 70 km northwest of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and is in the best resources operating jurisdiction in the world, with the best possible partners of Ardea, SMM and MC working together to develop the significant nickel and cobalt resource. Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd (KNPL) has commenced the Definitive Feasibility Study phase of the KNP – Goongarrie Hub.

The KNP-Goongarrie project is well situated near the city of Kalgoorlie. The city of 30,000 residents is a bustling centre for mining and resources in the Goldfields–Esperance region of Western Australia. Located 595 km east-northeast of Perth at the end of the Great Eastern Highway it is sometimes referred to as Kalgoorlie–Boulder, as the surrounding urban area includes the historic townsite of Boulder
